I thought I’d have a crack at building one from scratch.
Before getting too ahead of things, I thought I’d try out the board with the firmware.
I have my Photon board connected to an SD adapter, with the SD card containing a copy of the wifi files, and I have populated the wifi.ini file with my wifi details.

The firmware appears to have flashed correctly and connected to the Particle Console.
But, when I go to the local IP address it won’t load the web server.
I guess the main question I have is whether the firmware/server runs when the rest of the hardware (like LEDs) are not connected?

I have tried the 2018 and 2017 firmware, and tried redownloading.

I’m afraid I don’t know for sure, but it would make sense. I never tested it without having everything hooked up.

    Success!
    Firstly thanks for your reply.
When I first read your Game Frame Wi-Fi Adapter Documentation, which is clearly for existing Game Frames, it talks about the SD files download creating a new ‘Wifi’ folder.
But what it doesn’t note is that this sd_wifi.zip file doesn’t contain ALL the system files. 8^P
On a hunch, I purchased the SD Files from the shop which contains a couple more .ini files, and the webserver now runs. I thought the SD Files on the shop was only for the artwork, which I would have eventually bought after getting far enough through the build to prove that it was at least working.
It might be worth you adding a small note at step 5 on the documentation page noting you also need the core SD Files from the shop.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to moving forward with this build.

Sorry for the confusion and glad you got it figured out!
