Some Video Game and Misc Frame Art

Hi everyone,

I’ve been converting a bunch of fun GIFs for the Game Frame and thought I’d share some of my more successful attempts. My favorite, by far, is a GIF I found that cycles through all the different mushroom colors from the various Mario Bros. It looks fantastic on the Game Frame. It’s not perfect, though. I plan to edit each image to replace the black background with something lighter and outline the mushrooms.

I’ve converted these so far:

Boo (cycles through several Boo faces from Mario)
Space Invader (moves back and forth from side to side)
Cactus from A Link to the Past (waddles on a desert-brown background)
The Joker (a pixel Joker runs on screen–could use a darker background, probably)
SMW Cape Guy (he flies from left to right)
Mario Fireball (spins in place, fullscreen)
Bob (the green dinosaur from Bubble Bobble, flaps his tail)

If there’s interest, I’ll update these with edits and post more if find anything that looks really good. I’m using ImageMagick to convert the GIFs.

Glad you like them! I realized I forgot to include the Boo zip. Here’s Boo and an alternate version of the Mario mushrooms. I went through every .bmp, outlined the shrooms and changed the background only to find I didn’t like it. Maybe a different color background would make it work. Here it is for you to try, though!

Thanks for the awesome animations.

I’ll contribute my own first attempt at Mega Man running. I made two variants with dark and light backgrounds.
