Played around a bit, reinstalled ImageMagick and now it works (at least it converted the gif I sent a-ok).

Jeremy,

Followed the instructions but still get the errors mentioned above too. I installed Image magick per windows – what have I done wrong? I just want to convert this simple gif as an example. Your program asks a few questions (I answer Y) and then I get a config file but no frame images…
